Driver killed following wrong-way crash on I-84 [Video]

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A head-on collision between two cars–one of which was going the wrong way–left a person dead early Saturday morning, according to Portland Police.

The accident occurred on I-84 at NE 162nd Avenue, at around 1:30 a.m., when a driver heading westbound was struck head-on by a driver going eastbound in the westbound lanes.

The driver heading westbound was taken to the hospital and later died, according to police.

The driver going the wrong way was also taken to the hospital, but their condition is unknown at this time.
