[1] Error leads to 452 duplicate absentee ballots being sent to Bernalillo County voters – As of Monday, nearly 16,000 absentee ballots were sent out to Bernalillo County residents, according to the county clerk’s office. Some voters received two ballots, for a total of 452 duplicates that were distributed. County Clerk Linda Stover said the duplicates came from an error involving their vendor they work with to mail out the ballots. The county clerk’s office says a notification letter was sent once they discovered the mistake. The letter guided voters on what to do if they received a duplicate. Any duplicate ballots that are turned in are thrown away.
