Eagle drowning victim recovered near Montour Bridge [Video]

The body of 24-year-old Daniel Frandson was found 10 miles downriver from where he had jumped in.

BOISE COUNTY, Idaho — The body of 24-year-old of Daniel Frandson from Eagle was recovered via helicopter search Monday, June 10 around 9:30 a.m. Boise County Sheriff Scott Turner confirmed Frandson was found near the Montour Bridge in the Payette River about 10 miles from where he and his friend had been recreating on May 31.

“As a result of an air search, Boise County Sheriff’s Office reported seeing a body in the Payette River near the Montour Bridge.  Boise County Sheriff’s Office together with the Gem County Sheriff’s Office and Ada County Sheriff’s Office dive team responded.   The body of Daniel Frandson, the 24-year-old swimmer who went into the water on May 31, 2024, near the train bridge in Horseshoe Bend, was recovered.  The matter is under the direction of the Boise County Sheriff’s Office,” stated a news release.
