Elk Grove crash leaves 1 with life-threatening injuries [Video]

ELK GROVE, Calif. — One person was taken to a hospital after they were hit by the driver of a stolen car in Elk Grove, police said.

According to the Elk Grove Police Department, a 13-year-old was driving a stolen car westbound on Laguna Boulevard and hit another car around 9:18 p.m. near Franklin Boulevard. 

Police said the 13-year-old was being chased by police before the crash happened. Elk Grove police said the 13-year-old was ultimately arrested. Police originally said the teenager was 14 years old. 

The driver of the car that was hit was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
