HICKMAN MILLS, Mo. (KCTV) – An emergency meeting has been called by the Hickman Mills School District Superintendent to address state-proposed changes.
The Hickman Mills C-1 School District has announced that a special emergency session board meeting is now set to be held at 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 14. Board members are expected to immediately address the significant impacts of proposed changes to the Missouri School Improvement Program 6 by the State Board of Education.
Superintendent Yaw Obeng said he stands firm in his opposition to the two proposed changes:
- Recommended new Composite Score Assignment – Previously, the plan required actions to lead all districts to be reclassified in 2024, however, the recommendation for a new composite score of three years of data would mean districts will be required to wait until 2025-26 to be reclassified.
- Changes in Graduate Cohort Data – The change suggests a shift from the utilization of the current year’s graduates to the previous year’s cohort …
