Fairfield University remembers student from Mass. killed in crash [Video]

Fairfield University mourned the loss of one of its students killed in a crash on a wrong-way, head-on car crash in Connecticut last week, a Massachusetts man named Alexander Dennis.

“It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of one of our students, Alexander Dennis ‘25,” the school said in a statement shared on Facebook. “Alex had just completed his junior year here on campus and was traveling home to Massachusetts for the summer when the car accident occurred. As a student in the College of Arts and Sciences, Alex was a visual and performing arts major with a special interest in film.”

The Connecticut Chief Medical Examiner’s Office positively identified 21-year-old Dennis, of Wayland, as one of two drivers involved in the crash Tuesday afternoon, according to the crash report. Dennis was so badly injured in the crash that an autopsy was necessary to confirm his identity.
