Faith Baptist Church held its Cruise in for the Kids to give back to special needs classrooms [Video]

Meridian, Miss. (WTOK) – Saturday’s event kicked off at 10 a.m., as community members came out to show their support while participating in the different activities for children.

There was a food truck, car show, vendors, a raffle, bounce houses, and our very own Lauderdale Country Sheriff, who participated in the dunk tank.

One resident says he is doing this for a special cause.

”We have a son who is autistic, and we know teachers always pay out of their pockets for stuff, but the stuff for the special needs classes is even more expensive, and we saw a need, and we wanted to help with a one-off event and when we saw the impact it made to the two classes at West Lauderdale Elementary school in 2018, 2019.
