Family of geese bring traffic to a halt on I-395 in Virginia [Video]

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – A family of geese crossing a busy roadway brought traffic to a halt in Virginia on Tuesday.

FOX 5’s Annie Mae said the gaggle were crossing the I-395 Express Lanes just after Edsall Road in the Alexandria area around 8 a.m.

An officer was on the scene making sure the geese crossed safely. They then continued along the shoulder before heading off into a grassy area near the roadway.

The incident caused drivers to slow down, stop, and have a gander, triggering delays between the Beltway and the 14th Street Bridge for a short time during the morning rush.

No injuries were reported.
