Family of Greensboro woman fatally hit on Dellwood Drive speaks [Video]

Keith Steele spoke about his wife, 70-year-old Gayle Steele, who was fatally hit by a car on Dellwood Drive last Thursday.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — 70-year-old Gayle Steele’s family said she was putting up yard sale signs when someone hit her.

Keith and Gayle Steele had been married for nearly 50 years before she was taken from him in a gruesome hit-and-run.

They said finding more answers will help bring more healing.

It’s a loss that’s left them looking for the right words to say.

“I guess it hasn’t, um, it hasn’t hit me yet,” Gayle’s Husband, Keith said.

“I don’t think I’ve processed it yet exactly,” Gayle’s Daughter, Amber said.

Gayle was taken from her family during a hit-and-run incident at the corner of West Cone Boulevard and Dellwood Drive.
