Family working to help organ donor families with grief nearly 15 years after death of daughter in Colorado ski accident [Video]

BEAVER CREEK, Colo. (KKTV) – In 2010, the Storch family founded the Taylor’s Gift Foundation in the wake of the death of their daughter Taylor following an incident skiing in Beaver Creek. Now, they’re continuing to work to provide support for families in situations like theirs.

The family said they were asked by doctors in Grand Junction if they had considered organ donation for Taylor, and her mother and the foundation’s co-founder Tara Storch told 11 News that she immediately knew it was what their daughter would have wanted.

“Taylor was such an other-centered, giving child that we knew if she would’ve been asked the question of ‘do you want your final act on this earth to save others?’ she would’ve said yes,” Storch told 11 News.
