Fatal Accident Near Franklin Involving Vehicle and Pedestrian Under Investigation KQKI News [Video]

A late Saturday night accident near Franklin has claimed the life of a pedestrian.  Just after 11:00 pm,  Franklin Fire Department, St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office, Franklin Police Department and Acadian Ambulance were dispatched to Highway 90 westbound on the Willow Street overpass just before the Franklin exit. Louisiana State Police Troop I also assisted at the scene.

According to preliminary reports, the victim was located quite a distance from the point of impact and was pronounced deceased.

The accident remains under investigation.  We will update the story once more information becomes available.
