SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — First responders and deputies responded to reports of a fatal train accident in San Diego Friday afternoon. It has been confirmed the victim was 17.
Deputies with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal train vs pedestrian accident that happened in the University City/Sorrento Valley area at 12:34 p.m. Friday.
A spokesperson with the LOSSAN Rail Corridor Agency told FOX 5/KUSI the accident involved a southbound Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train and a male minor riding a bicycle.
The accident happened at the intersection with Sorrento Valley Blvd and Sorrento Valley Road, near Roselle Street, at the end of I-805 in the City of San Diego.
