FEMA aid to end soon in Ohio counties affected by March tornadoes [Video]

LOGAN COUNTY, Ohio — 60 days ago, a federal disaster was declared in Ohio following a March tornado outbreak that killed three people and damaged homes and businesses across multiple counties. 

FEMA, or the Federal Emergency Management Agency, provided updates on the ongoing recovery efforts Monday; meanwhile, the area hardest hit by the March 14 tornadoes – Logan County – will see its FEMA Disaster Recovery Center close on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

According to FEMA, the Logan County center has specialists that walk people through the federal aid application, helping them upload documents and answers questions for the general public.  

President Joe Biden approved major disaster relief assistance to survivors and businesses on May 18.
