FEMA opens Hardin County disaster recovery center [Video]

This recovery center provides help to Texans affected by the severe storms, tornadoes, flooding and straight-line winds that began on April 26, 2024.

HARDIN COUNTY, Texas — Hardin County residents will now have a recovery center to go to after a disaster.

This recovery center provides help to Texans affected by the severe storms, tornadoes, flooding and straight-line winds that began on April 26, 2024.

The center will be at the Hardin County Courthouse Annex located at 1135 Redwood St., Kountze. It will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Residents of Hardin County can visit the center to meet with representatives of FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration. 

They do not need to schedule an appointment.

All of the recovery centers are accessible to people with disabilities and are equipped with assistive technology.

Texans do not have to visit a disaster recovery center to apply for FEMA assistance.
