Fire destroys home next to Dedham, Massachusetts, high school [Video]

Fire destroyed a home located directly next to a Massachusetts high school on Wednesday afternoon. Video from Sky 5 showed much of the home at the end of Elmview Place in Dedham damaged by the fire. The home is located next to Dedham High School. Classes were not in session on Wednesday.Viewer video showed flames engulfing the upper part of the home, which neighbors said was under construction. Firefighters attacked the flames with multiple hoses from different angles.”The back of the building was fully involved, which is where most of the damage was,” Dedham fire chief William Spillane said. “Basically with all the windows and everything out of it, the fire extended from the outside of the building right through the interior, which was also empty, so it just took right off.”Spillane said there was minor damage to the pool and gymnasium portion of the high school. “The plastic exterior, …
