Fla. teen reunited with life-saving medical helicopter crew [Video]

MELBOURNE, Fla. — A reunion occurred between a 16-year-old girl and a medical helicopter crew who saved her after a boating accident.

Nicole Goslant sustained a head injury and was close to drowning when the boat she was aboard crashed near Captain Hiram’s in March, WKMG reported.

“It meant a lot to me to know that such good people saved me,” Goslant said. “It’s just really great to have the opportunity to meet them.”

Goslant had the chance to climb into the helicopter where pilot Chuck Mueller, along with paramedics Prudence Meads and Jo Folsom, placed her on a ventilator and transported her to the hospital.

“Having inhaled a lot of water, we were worried about your lungs in addition to, obviously, a possible head injury,” Folsom said.

Goslant said the accident and her recovery had given her a new appreciation of being alive.
