Forecast: Summer-like temperatures to continue into next week | Weather [Video]

June 12th is Summer Weather Safety Day. This comes in perfect timing with our first taste of summer-like temperatures for the year.

Temperatures will warm to the lower 90s on Thursday, this will be the first time that Mid-Mo reaches 90 degrees in 2024!

Heat index temperatures will feel hotter than actual temperatures. If you have to spend any prolonged time outdoors, be sure to drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning if possible.

The pattern overall is dry. However, there is a chance of thunderstorms Thursday night into Friday morning. Some of these storms do have the potential to become strong to severe. The overall severe weather threat is low. Any storms that do become severe will likely have hail and strong winds.

This summer-like heat will continue into the weekend and through next week.
