FOX10 News investigation reveals concerns by legislator over Baldwin County DHR operations [Video]

ROBERTSDALE, Ala. (WALA) – Is the state agency in charge of standing up for abused children doing enough to keep them safe? It’s a question FOX10 News is asking about the Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR). We began digging for answers last week after reporting on a case of alleged child abuse in Robertsdale. In the last few days, I’ve spoken with multiple sources who work with DHR social workers and are familiar with staffing challenges the office currently faces.

This FOX10 News investigation began with the arrests of William and Kelsey Brewer on aggravated child abuse charges Friday, June 21, 2024.
