Goshen Springs residents call for traffic safety changes near Sunset Grill [Video]

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WLBT) – It’s been one month since a woman, 41-year-old Marcie Errington, was hit and killed by a vehicle in front of the Sunset Grill in Rankin County.

Now, people who live and travel through the busy area say they want more traffic safety measures to be put in place.

Around the northern edge of the Barnett Reservoir and Highway 43, hundreds of campers, fishermen, foodies, and more visit the Sunset Grill and other businesses daily.

“Highway 43 and between Highway 25 and up towards the Natchez Trace, the traffic is really busy in the mornings and the afternoons. Typically people are going 55 to 60 miles an hour, even faster over that bridge,” Lisa Williams explained.
