Gov. Lujan Grisham addresses fire concerns in press conference [Video]

Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham ordered a state of emergency for Lincoln and Mescalero Apache Reservation early Tuesday morning. Later in the afternoon, she held a press conference to give more information on the fires in Ruidoso.The state told KOAT there was one fatality, but that was all the information given to us.The state said it was too early to make a statement on what started these fires. The Bureau Of Land Management has a team of 6 that are on the ground investigating, but it will take some time until they find out the cause, according to the Governor. Lujan Grisham said there would be a transition of teams handling the fire. The type three team that was formed when the fire was discovered , but the complex incident management team, formerly known as the type one or two team will be taking over.
