The Valley Wagon, a beloved produce stand in Grain Valley, is closing its doors as a dispute continues between its owners and the city. The community is rallying around the business whose owners say they’re being forced to close.The small produce market has been operating on the side of the road for the last four years.Sunday marked the last time the service bell will ring at The Valley Wagon, leaving the surrounding community heartbroken. Multiple customers we talked to said they were shocked by the sudden closure. The city claims they’ve received anonymous complaints that the family-owned business has been operating in a FEMA floodway.
