Greensboro business pitches in for hurricane relief [Video]

Crav’n Caribbean in Greensboro says it will take a portion of profits from this week’s sales to give back to its home country.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — As Hurricane Beryl churns through the Caribbean, Jamaica’s Prime Minister activated its State of Disaster Wednesday.

A small business in Greensboro said it wants to give back to Jamaica, its home country.

“Some of our profits from this week’s sales, we will be sending some stuff back to Jamaica,” owner of Crav’n Caribbean Carlos Abrahams shared, “I have family that have been through other storms just as bad.”

The restaurant has two locations in Greensboro and Charlotte.

Abrahams said he wants to use the profits to purchase supplies for those in need. Jamaica is just one of many islands in the West Indies facing the storm.
