Haliburton helps reveal updates to city park basketball court [Video]

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis park has a new basketball court, thanks in part to one of the city’s biggest sports stars.

On Friday, Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton and city leaders cut the ribbon on the renovated court at Fall Creek & 30th Park.

The court got a fresh coat of paint, new hoops, landscaping work and more.

It’s the first of five Indy Parks courts getting a facelift.

Haliburton said he’s committed to staying in Indianapolis and giving back to the community.

“I hope it means everything,” he said. “For me, it was always like, you always wanted to go to the court that was like the newest one, the one that looked the nicest, felt the best.
