Heat advisory affecting North Alabama until Monday evening [Video]

On Monday at 1:25 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory in effect until 7 p.m. for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb and Cullman counties.

The weather service comments, “Heat index values up to 109 degrees.”

“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” states the weather service.
