Heatwave Precautions: India is witnessing a severe heatwave with many regions recording a daytime high of more than 40 degrees Celsius. Even Delhi recorded the hottest day of the season at 42.5 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The scorching heat has made normal life miserable. Recently, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert regarding heatwaves in various parts of the country including Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, etc.
In such a situation, experts have suggested children, elderly people and those undergoing treatment for illness need to be particularly taken care of during this summer.
How To Keep Yourself In Check From Intense Heat
One should drink enough water to keep their body hydrated.
Wear light-coloured, loose and airy cotton clothes. Use protective glasses, an umbrella or hat, slippers, or sandals while going out in the sun.
