Helping Hands in Le Mars helping people affected by flooding [Video]

LE MARS, Iowa (KTIV) – A thrift shop in Le Mars is helping those affected by recent flooding.

The thrift store Helping Hands is working on collecting items that flood victims need.

They want people to remember this is affecting people long-term and want to help them out.

“Well because it’s important because these people ended up with nothing. I mean they virtually lost their homes their way of living and their everything and it’s very important that people keep that in mind that they are going to need help. That’s why I call it a long-term recovery,” said Jim Plueger of Helping Hands.
