Henderson PD cite more than 1,000 in speed enforcement op [Video]

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – The Henderson Police Department recently concluded an operation that targeted speeding, a frequent cause of serious wrecks on the road.

The department released the results on Wednesday saying that they stopped a total of 1,085 drivers. Of those 1,085, drivers were issued 877 speeding citations, 22 distracted driving violations, 15 red light violations, and 140 citations issued for other traffic related offenses.

The campaign ran from June 5^th through the 21^st, with HPD receiving $196,000 in federal funding for the enhanced enforcement initiatives through the Nevada Department of Public Safety – Office of Traffic Safety for the 2024 Joining Forces program.
