Highpoint Baptist Church holds Making a Difference Mobile event [Video]

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Highpoint Baptist Church opened its doors Friday night for its Making a Difference Mobile event highlighting individuals and agencies in our area that are making a difference in our community. Their focus was on the challenges youth face daily in the city.

FOX10′s Ariel Mallory moderated event at the church at 2421 Lott Rd Eight Mile, helping to guide discussions and welcome guest speakers.

Attendees voiced their concerns and ideas for the city through questions.

The event honored community outreach programs such as Lifelines Counseling Center, City of Mobile Violence Prevention, Cops for Kids, and other prominent members.

The Rev. Gregory Knight shared his thoughts on the gathering. “This event we hope and pray is just the start, this is the nexus of, this is the seed we plan to grow from this, to do better things and continue this on a regular basis,” Knight said. “As we …
