Hittin the Town at a Toledo treasure in the Old South End [Video]

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Sophia Quintero Art and Cultural Center is described as an oasis for neighborhood residents and local artists. Its focus is Latino art, heritage, culture and agriculture. And it’s one of the centerpieces of the Historic Old South End.

“We’re located in the historic Old South End on Broadway Street. We’ve been here for 27 years serving the community through arts, culture and agriculture. There are a lot of reasons to come in and visit. The Sophia Quintero Arts and Cultural Center touches this community in a lot of visible ways. We’ve been able to transform the landscape of the Old South End,” Jessica Vallejo, the marketing and community outreach coordinator said.

Vallejo recently moved back home from Cleveland.

“There are so many reasons I am proud to be from Toledo, Being away helped me come back home to find a purpose,” Vallejo said.
