Sgt. Peter Gurney is a Communications Sergeant with the Unalaska Department of Public Safety. Sgt. Gurney recently revived the Local Emergency Planning Committee which is a crucial link between the community and emergency planners and services. He’s also overseen the transition of the department to a no-kill animal shelter.
