Homicide at Urban Villas Apartment on Airport Blvd [Video]

AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department (APD) is investigating a homicide near the Mueller neighborhood Wednesday morning.

Officer Austin Zarling said at around 10:16 a.m., officers responded to the Urban Villas Apartment Homes, located at 4411 Airport Blvd., for a shot-stab hotshot call. A person who called 911 said they had found two people with “multiple life-threatening injuries to their bodies.”

Zarling said Austin Fire Department crews arrived to the scene prior to APD officers. First responders attempted to provide medical aid to the two victims, a man and a woman, but they were pronounced dead at the scene at 10:47 a.m.

The victims have not been identified, pending notification of next of kin. The circumstances of the crime are not clear at this time, but Zarling did say both victims had experienced blunt force …
