BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – Leisa Hutchison is a speech language pathologist serving as Director of the Family Resource Program at WKU’s Suzanne Vitale Clinical Education Complex. She earned the nickname “Snow White” by her colleagues due to her kindness, helpfulness, and sense of joy.

A native of Barren County, Leisa was deeply influenced by her parents. Her father, a social worker, and her mother, a nurse, instilled in her the importance of helping others.

“My upbringing is all about how to be kind to others, how to do for others, and that relationships are important,” Leisa said.

The foundation laid by her early life naturally led her to a service-oriented career in speech-language pathology.

After completing her undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Kentucky, Leisa’s career spanned various roles including work in public schools, private practice, and Kentucky’s Early Intervention System (KEIS) program. Additionally, Leisa has held …
