Huntsville Police DUI Task Force Safety Checkpoints this weekend [Video]

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Don’t drink and drive. That’s the message from Huntsville Police as they conduct traffic safety checkpoints throughout the city this weekend. They’re hoping to keep people from driving impaired and catch people who are driving under the influence or breaking other traffic laws.

If you are stopped at a traffic safety checkpoint, be ready to present your driver’s license, proof of insurance and vehicle registration to officers.

Any time you think you see an impaired driver, HPD asks you to call their non-emergency line at 256-722-7100. When you call, please provide the location, vehicle and driver description, and the vehicle’s direction of travel. If there is immediate danger to the public, call 911.
