It’s back! The Auburn Cornfest scheduled to come home next year | Local [Video]

Dates for the festival are expected to be released Friday

AUBURN, Mich. (WJRT) – Summer fairs and carnivals are still going on, but there’s some big news about next summer’s calendar of event: the Auburn Cornfest is coming home.

The event was cancelled in 2023 and a smaller version was held this summer in Midland County. But a court ruling last month paved the way for a return of the event to Auburn.

There are legal issues still going on, but that court ruling a few weeks returned the Auburn Chamber of Commerce to what people consider the old or original board. The former board is looking forward to a new Auburn Cornfest.

“I am beyond excited,” said Robin Devereaux.

The Auburn Farmer’s Market is open, and there is corn for sale.

“I try to raise the best sweet corn around,” said Norman Adams.
