Jayana Webbs infant son abused by father, prosecutors say [Video]

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Montgomery County man has been charged with abusing his 2-month-old baby — whose mother, 24-year-old Jayana Webb, got pregnant while out on bail on third-degree murder charges.

Webb pleaded guilty to a DUI crash that killed two state troopers and a pedestrian on I-95 in South Philadelphia in March 2022. Her sentence was delayed because she was seven months pregnant at the time of her plea.

The infant’s father, 27-year-old Tahir Riley, from Schwenksville, was charged with multiple felonies after his 2-month-old son was taken to a pediatrician in East Norriton with significant swelling and bruising on the left side of his head.

According to charging documents, the boy had a check-up four days before and was reported to be in good health. Medical staff determined the infant’s head measured 3 centimeters larger than it was in the earlier appointment.
