Joel Joseph Martin, of Blair, was swimming in Lake Monticello on Saturday, June 8, when he went underwater and did not resurface. Emergency crews and dive teams from South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) searched the area and located Martin.
An autopsy has been scheduled, and the incident remains under investigation by Fairfield County Coroner’s Office and SCDNR.
