BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A mother is now using her loss and grief to teach students about non-violence.
His mother, Rochelle Malone, is partnering with Birmingham’s conflict resolution program Common Ground to share her son’s story with young students.
On Monday, June 17, she presented to dozens of elementary school students for a summer camp session at Glen Iris Elementary all in an effort to prevent violence from stealing any more life from the Magic City.
Malone even created a pledge for the attending students in an effort to further discourage them from participating in violence.
