KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – The Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association is looking for a location for new construction following an accident that took out a portion of the building along Greenbrier Street in Charleston.
Humane Association officials say building a new facility is something that has been in the works, the accident just made the search for a new building site more active.
Last month, the driver of a U-Haul lost control and slammed into the side of the building.
Luckily, only one dog was injured.
The facility had to be closed to visitors due about $100,000 worth of damages and officials began a fast search for foster families for the dogs.
