Kentucky Basketball Takes Over Kroger Field for Summer Workout [Video]

Mark Pope must’ve been feeling a little claustrophobic inside the cool air-conditioned Joe Craft Center. On Wednesday he took his Kentucky basketball team out to get some fresh air at Kroger Field.

The Wildcats spent the afternoon doing a little strength and conditioning and having fun playing football. Pope showed Koby Brea that he was proficient at tossing around the pigskin. He even threw on a UK helmet for a little bit to get the guys fired up.

While scouring through the Kentucky Men’s Basketball Instagram story, it appears the team played a little ultimate frisbee-style football. The Cats also got in some red zone work with one of the biggest red zone weapons possible, 7-foot Drexel transfer Amari Williams. I’m sure QB Brock Vandagriff would love to chuck it up to the Big Brit in the end zone this fall.
