KinderCollege day care to close [Video]

BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) – Parents said they’re in shock after hearing the news of KinderCollege day care closing.

Boyd County Schools announced on Wednesday that KinderCollege day care will shut its doors permanently at the end of June.

In a letter sent to parents, the district said “this decision was made after assessing various factors, including future sustainability, staffing and financial resources.”

Taylor Perry works for the day care and is now on the hunt for a new job during this time of uncertainty.

“We’re out of jobs. We have nothing. We have nothing to fall back on. We have no plan. We have no nothing,” Perry said. “It came out of nowhere. We were told Monday that ‘hey your job is over, it’s gone in June and we had nothing. We had no plan; we were bombarded with all this information on Monday.”
