Krogers peanut butter drive to benefit local food banks [Video]

HENDERSON, Texas (KETK) — Kroger will host a peanut butter drive until Sept. 3 to benefit local food banks.

People are encouraged to buy peanut butter jars and place them in the donation bins at any Kroger location. Kroger officials said 100% of all donations will benefit local Feeding America food banks.

Some East Texas Kroger locations include:

“Shelf-stable proteins such as peanut butter play a crucial role in supporting our community in the battle against food insecurity,” said Keith Shoemaker, Dallas Division President of The Kroger Co. “As part of our Zero Hunger Zero Waste social and environmental impact plan, we are pleased to launch this Peanut Butter Food Drive and look forward to helping our food bank partners restock their shelves.”
