WINKELMAN, Ariz. — A rapidly growing brush fire, called the Arcadia Fire, is burning off of State Route 77 south of Winkelman, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The fire started under the Aravaipa bridge.

- There are no current road closures. State Route 77 was closed in both directions between mileposts 121-124, but reopened at about 6:20 p.m. on Friday.
How many acres has it burned?
The Arcadia Fire has burned 100 acres and is 0% contained as of Friday evening, the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management said. It is burning in a river bottom in an agriculture field and six single-engine air tankers are fighting the fire along with ground crews.
