Legendary drivers shocking death leaves racing world in mourning [Video]

Scott Bloomquist might have been the best dirt track driver on the planet, and if you don’t believe it, all you have to do is listen to what the legends are saying about him.

And, sadly, they are saying plenty this weekend after the shocking news that the 60-year-old Bloomquist was the pilot and sole fatality in a plane crash on his family farm Friday morning.

It was a stunning and heartbreaking blow to the racing community.

Former NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace called Bloomquist “the greatest dirt racer to ever live.”
