LIMERICK defender Barry Nash is not expected to play again this season in a huge blow to the Treaty ahead of Sunday’s All-Ireland SHC semi-final against Cork.
SunSport understands Nash suffered a hamstring tear at training.
The two-time All-Star has featured in all five of Limerick’s SHC outings so far as they bagged a record-breaking sixth Munster title in a row.
The South Liberties man would be a big loss as John Kiely’s side look to maintain their bid for five All-Irelands on the bounce.
But four-time All-Star Seán Finn could fill the void after returning to full fitness having missed the Munster final win over Clare with a hamstring injury.
Cork defeated the Treaty 3-28 to 3-26 in a provincial round-robin epic on May 11 and are chasing their first All- Ireland since 2005.
