Louisiana Attorney General on New Orleans ‘gun free zone’ [Video]

The Louisiana Attorney General is scheduling a meeting with New Orleans leaders following the city’s creation of a gun-free zone in the French Quarter. New Orleans leaders announced this week that they are turning the 8th District into a vocational-technical school.City leaders say the creation of the school will expand the firearm-free perimeter to more areas of the French Quarter and provide a place to train officers. The move caught the attention of Attorney General Liz Murrill, who believes this move is illegal and goes against the state’s new permitless carry law.
