Macomb County father convicted of first-degree child abuse [Video]

(WWJ) — A Macomb County man is awaiting sentencing after being convicted of first-degree child abuse.

Last Friday a jury found 36-year-old Adam Doe guilty of abusing his 11-week-old son.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office says Doe injured the infant on Feb. 22, resulting in severe brain injuries and fractures. The abuse happened in February 2022 in Clinton Township, according to the Macomb Daily.

Doe was acquitted of charges of witness bribery, intimidation or interference, and domestic violence, according to the report.

Doe had been out on a $20,000 personal bond, but was remanded to jail following the trial.

“Our hearts go out to the young victim and his family, who have endured unimaginable pain and suffering,” Prosecutor Pete Lucido said, per a press release. “This conviction brings some measure of justice for the severe injuries inflicted upon this innocent child.
