PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man has been indicted by a grand jury for second-degree murder and five other charges after he fled from a domestic violence situation and, in the process of leaving the scene, killed a bicyclist in a hit-and-run crash.
Officers responded to a Phoenix residence near 16th Street and Southern Avenue on the night of May 16 in regards to a domestic violence situation.
Police said when they arrived, 33-year-old Jamarr Young was “immediately aggressive toward officers” and began telling officers to shoot and kill him.
Young reportedly would not comply with police, and they said he got into his car and sped off, hitting a police vehicle.
