Police said speed was a factor in the crash Saturday night.
BRIGHTON, Colo. — A man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Brighton Saturday night.
The Brighton Police Department said the crash happened at around 9:50 p.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of Prairie Center Parkway, near Barr Lake State Park.
Their investigation revealed that a 44-year-old man driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle crashed into a raised concrete median, causing him to be ejected from his bike. He later died at the hospital.
Police said the man was wearing a helmet. They believe speed was a factor, and the Brighton Police Department Traffic Safety Unit is investigating to see if there were any other factors that contributed to the crash.
The man’s name is being withheld pending a positive identification and notification of next of kin by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.
