Man killed in workplace accident at Whitestown Waste Management [Video]

WHITESTOWN, Ind. — A worker at the Whitestown Waste Management facility has died following a workplace accident Tuesday afternoon. 

First responders were told the incident was a workplace accident in which a worker was struck by a work vehicle. Medics arrived and pronounced 59-year-old Johnny Williams, of Indianapolis, dead at the scene. 

Waste Management shared the following statement with 13News: 

“Safety is paramount to WM.

The incident that took place yesterday is currently under investigation, and any related information will be released by the Whitestown Police Department.

The WM team extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.”
