Man, woman facing charges after shooting in Baton Rouge [Video]

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left a woman injured around 9:19 p.m. Tuesday, May 28.

Deputies responded to the 10000 block of Alco Avenue and initiated an investigation. As the investigation unfolded, EBRSO said the woman “admitted to initiating the incident and spraying mace on her live-in boyfriend.”

Investigators identified the woman as the “primary aggressor during the argument.” EBRSO also concluded that the shooter “was not in imminent danger” when he fired the weapon.

Emergency medical service officials confirmed that one person was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

As a result of this investigation, Steven Henry, 35, was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder.

Deputies said the woman will be charged with domestic abuse battery (child endangerment).

The investigation remains ongoing.
